TIDBITS
"Sometimes bigger can be better" ... My grandmother is 6 feet 250 lbs. I love working out, personal training, teaching, traveling, reading, meeting people, cooking and having fun. -- Stephen Frazier Stephen Frazier is available for guest appearances, seminars, exhibitions, speaking engagements, training consultations, acting opportunities, hosting, print/broadcast modeling, product representation and product demonstrations. Inquiries and interests can be directed to his reps at [email protected].
THE EVOLUTION OF STEPHEN "STEVE" FRAZIER: My name is Stephen Frazier. I was born and raised in Texas, and I still live in Texas, where everything is thought to be bigger than most. Even as I am known as a bodybuilder and fitness/nutrition spokesman for the past ten years -- making appearances around the world and being seen in magazines around the globe -- my life always comes back to my home, so to speak, the importance of health, weight and wellness for myself, family, friends and others. My homebase is my fitness center where I train and coach an array of people from families to foodies, from housewives to homemakers, from students to retirees, from corporate workers to elders, from military personnel to pro athletes and celebrities, from young soccer players to adults recuperating, recovering or rebounding from inactivity or injury. Though I am not an actor, you might have seen me in a recreation (aka re-creation) episode of Suburban Secrets on TruTV. I also appeared in a commercial for Nike/Dick's Sporting Goods in the role of a football player, clearly because of my size. Yes, I am a big guy ... 6'2" at 275 lbs. Even still, my health is quite important beyond those tv gigs and I immediately returned to homebase of awaiting members at my fitness studio. I became overly conscious of my weight as a kid. I walked, jogged, lifted weights, played basketball and football. I grew up scared that I would die young. My paternal grandmother had fifteen (15) siblings and my maternal grandma had seven (7) siblings. With their forever busy Louisiana country-cooking kitchens, there was a lot of unhealthy eating and a great lack of exercise in my family. My maternal grandmother is 6' tall at 250 lbs. Imagine that! My mother has even struggled with her weight all of her life. She has been on almost every diet plan around. Actually, all of my family is either overweight, or are suffering from diabetes, high cholesterol, hypertension, or have heart problems. After a while, family funerals became our family reunions! I wanted to do something athletic, even if it was joining the NFL. Too afraid of being hit in my head or not liking the idea of having to play injured all season to be considered a successful NFL player, I opted for bodybuilding. Whatever I do, I always know that I need to help others with how to eat right and exercise regularly. I continue to welcome all of my family to come to my homebase and to join my fitness studio, for free! My training style and my clients' progress seem to inspire others to make that change! The evolution of training, dieting and wellness is great. Being a bodybuilder and fitness trainer is not just my profession, it is also my passion.
Staying Pumped,
Stephen Frazier
